TGS Sustainable Development Goal progress

Doing business Social responsibility
TGS supports the UNGC SDGs

A credible, ethical alternative

TGS is an international business network of entrepreneurial professional service firms, specialising in accounting, audit, tax, business advisory and commercial legal services. TGS was set up in 2012 as a credible, ethical alternative to existing networks.

TGS is a collaborative network and signatory of the United Nations Global Compact (UNGC). In our first communication on progress we defined Sustainable Development Goals in line with our values and vision. This post shares our key figures for 2018.

Continual growth in decent jobs

TGS has seen a continual growth in employees during the last few years. The network now provides 3403 jobs worldwide and contributes to increasing the access to financial services for society to accumulate assets and productive investments. Our commitment to increase our number of employees will help reduce unemployment and increase productivity. TGS also places decent working conditions at the heart of their business ethics and will continue to provide quality jobs to stimulate our local economies.

Young Talent

The TGS network has a lot of young talent, which makes our workforce dynamic and agile. This, coupled with our increasing employment base, contributes to our creativity and capacity for innovation.

Training the future financial workforce

The members of the TGS network have on average 5 interns. Member firms contribute the SDG 4, Quality Education, by knowledge sharing, and participating in increasing access to quality education, and training programs.

TGS also believes in facilitating labour market entrance and thus contributing to socio-economic stability. Our commitment to integrating young staff is key to the SDG 8 – Decent Work and Economic Growth. The UNGC states that 470 million jobs are needed globally for new entrants to the labour market between 2016 and 2030.

Actively reducing gender inequality

Gender equality (SDG 5) has always been core to the TGS members’ business ethics, notably for the empowerment of women. TGS Global contributes to women’s access to education, decent work, and representation in the economic decision process.

Progress needs to made in increasing the number of women in managerial positions. TGS can actively contribute to this and help reduce inequalities worldwide. TGS Global launched TGS Womennovator on the 8th of March – a virtual incubator to empower and create opportunities for women in the financial services and Fintech industries. Equal pay

60% of our member firms give equal pay to male and female employees. Once again, TGS believes this is part of our corporate social responsibility. For the TGS network talent and expertise is decisive. TGS knows this is still a work in progress and understands what steps are needed to bring this number up to 100%.

TGS Global has placed the Sustainable Development Goals at the heart of our business strategy. In 2019. We nurture transparent communications and are open to all questions if you want to know more about our engagements.
