TGS sponsors the African Congress of Accountants 2019

A long-term, inclusive vision for Africa

TGS has a near-term objective to be the ‘go to’ network for global SMEs and their business in, into and out of Africa and to help African firms thrive nationally and internationally.

TGS Global and TGS Member Firms participated in the 5th edition of  African Congress of Accountants (ACOA) in June 2019. ACOA’s aim is to ensure business opportunities in Africa and create value for the continent.  The development of the accounting profession in Africa and the strengthening of public institutions were part of the goals of this Congress, which matches the values of TGS and their members.

This year the event was focused on:

– Making public institutions stronger through public policies and public value management.

– Integrative Thinking: a tool for managing resources and public sector performance.

– Developing performance measurement, impact assessment and accountability requirements.

An opportunity to expand the TGS Network

The ACOA conference was an unprecedented opportunity for our network, as we exchanged with numerous stakeholders, both in the public and private sectors, nurtured relationships and put forth our commitment to ensure business opportunities in Africa. With a collaborative and entrepreneurial spirit TGS member firms present at ACOA promoted the TGS Network and the benefits of being part of an international network with a sustainable vision.

Ensuring a positive impact

TGS Global took this occasion to support local community development in line with our values and participation with the UNGC. We decided to plant 100 trees to serve the public interest, contribute to local biodiversity, and favor sustainable practices in Morocco. 

It was an honour to join the ACOA 2019, collaborate with multi-disciplinary professionals, and share our experience. TGS Global is looking forward to participating in upcoming ACOA events.
